Some times agone , we supplied natural gravestone kitchen flooring and restroom penstocks to one of our private guests in London.

They must have been pleased with the result because they came back again last time. This time, they wanted a limestone bottom for their beautiful old manor house house in Normandy in northern France.

The house is a traditional, old Norman house with small windows that had been relatively dark outside. Emilie and Henryk wanted to maximise the light with a pale gravestone bottom that would be hard- wearing and still in keeping with the look of an elegant manor house house.

From the dozens of samples that we showed them, they chose a Burgundy limestone from the Chamesson chase in northern Burgundy.

We used gravestone from the palest” bench”( subcaste) in the chase. The penstocks were smoothly backcountry- pounded and also heavily brushed to give the look of a time- worn bottom. As a farther touch to suit the age of the house, gemstones of the dark Soignies limestone were fitted on every pipe junction.
